Spendaily respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your choices.
Spendaily is intended for users aged 13 and over. We never sell your data, show you ads, or use your spending for tracking.
Information We Collect
Spendaily collects only the data necessary to provide its core functionality.
Information you provide:
• Email address (if you choose to sign in with email)
• Budget amounts and expense entries you manually add
• Optional notes or text you enter in the app
• Savings goal names, targets, and contribution history
• Profile name and avatar preferences
Automatically collected information:
• Basic diagnostic data such as crash reports (used only to improve app stability)
• Subscription status for managing premium features
• Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
Spendaily does not access your bank accounts, payment cards, contacts, photos, or location.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used only to:
• Provide app functionality (budget calculations, daily limits, rollover, savings goals)
• Maintain your account and sync your data across sessions
• Process and manage premium subscriptions
• Send transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, data exports)
• Deliver push notifications you've opted into (spending reminders, goal alerts)
• Improve app stability and performance through anonymized crash reports
Spendaily does not use your data for advertising, tracking, or marketing purposes. We do not build advertising profiles from your spending data.
Data Sharing
Spendaily does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We may share data with:
• Apple - for processing in-app purchases, managing subscriptions, and verifying Apple Sign-In authentication
• Google - for verifying Google OAuth authentication tokens
• Brevo (Sendinblue) - for delivering transactional emails (verification codes, password resets, data export emails)
• Expo - for delivering push notifications to your device
These services process only the minimum data necessary for their function. We do not use data brokers or third-party advertising services.
Data Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard safeguards:
• All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Authentication tokens expire after 7 days and are stored securely on-device
• Account deletion requires email verification (6-digit OTP code)
• Server infrastructure uses standard security practices
• We regularly review and update our security measures
Data Retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services.
When you delete your account (Settings → scroll to bottom → Delete Account), we delete the personal data associated with your account from our active systems. Residual copies held in our encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
We may retain a limited amount of information for longer where we are required to do so by law, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained to help us understand and improve the app.
Your Choices and Rights
You may:
• Use Spendaily without connecting a bank account (we never ask for one)
• Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app: **Settings → scroll to bottom → Delete Account**
• Export your spending data via email (PDF + CSV)

Your Privacy Rights (UK / EU GDPR)
If you are located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you rights over your personal data.

• Performance of a contract - to create your account and provide the budgeting features you ask for.
• Legitimate interests - to keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product, balanced against your rights and freedoms.
• Consent - where required, such as before sending optional push notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
• Access - request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification - correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure - ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restriction - limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
• Data portability - receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Object - object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent - at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

How to exercise your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Settings → scroll to bottom → Delete Account), export your data by email, or contact us at contact@spendaily.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
U.S. Privacy Rights (California / CCPA-CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you specific rights over your personal information.
Categories of personal information we collect
• Identifiers - such as your email address and account identifiers.
• Commercial and financial information - the budget amounts, expense entries, and savings goals you choose to enter, plus your subscription status.
• Internet or electronic activity - limited diagnostic and crash data used to keep the app stable.
We collect this information to provide and maintain the Services, manage subscriptions, send transactional emails, deliver notifications you opt into, and improve app stability, as described in "How We Use Your Information" above.
We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking.
Your rights
• Right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
• Right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share data, so there is nothing to opt out of.

You can delete your account and data in the app (Settings → scroll to bottom → Delete Account) or contact us at contact@spendaily.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Children's Privacy & Minimum Age
Spendaily is a general-audience budgeting tool. It is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under the age of 13.
To create an account and use Spendaily, you must be at least 13 years old, or older where your country sets a higher minimum age for digital consent (for example, 16 in some EU/EEA countries).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child below that age, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.
