Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Spendaily.

Is Spendaily connected to my bank?
No. Spendaily is manual-input only. We never ask for banking credentials or account access. You enter your expenses yourself, and your data stays private. This is a personal discipline tool, not a financial data aggregator.
How does rollover work?
Your monthly budget is divided into a daily allowance. If your daily budget is £40 and you only spend £25, the extra £15 becomes your surplus. You then decide what to do with it: add it to tomorrow's budget, allocate it to a savings goal, or split it between both. If you overspend, the excess is spread across remaining days in your period. You always see exactly what you can afford today.
Can I budget payday-to-payday?
Yes. Choose between calendar month (1st to end of month) or payday-to-payday during setup. Pick any day 1–31 as your payday and Spendaily calculates your daily budget from your payday to the day before your next one.
What happens if I overspend?
The overspend is spread across remaining days in your budget period. Your daily number adjusts down, but you always see exactly what you can afford to spend. No surprises.
How do savings goals work?
Set a target amount for something you want: headphones, a trip, a jacket. Choose an emoji or upload a custom photo. Track progress with animated rings and an ETA countdown. Contribute from daily rollover surplus, month-end savings, extra income, or manual deposits. When your goal is fully funded, you get notified that it's ready to purchase.
What's included in Premium?
Savings goals with progress tracking, spending streaks with flame animation, smart rollover settings, no-spend day tracking with star badges, full category analytics with donut charts, Budget Health Score (0–100, graded A–F), week-in-review insights, month-end review with goal allocation, complete budgeting (income, expenses, investments), and 5 premium themes. All plans include a 7-day free trial.
How much does Premium cost?
£3.99/month (with a 7-day free trial) or £38/year. Cancel anytime through the App Store. No charge if you cancel during the trial.
How do I sign up?
You can create an account with email/password, Apple Sign-In, or Google. Email accounts require a quick 6-digit verification code sent to your inbox.
What languages and currencies are supported?
14 fully translated languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, Polish, and Ukrainian. 60+ currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, and even BTC. Auto-detected from your device.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Spendaily supports CSV export for spending transactions and branded PDF reports with budget overview, streaks, category breakdown, and monthly review. You can also email the export directly from the app.
What is the Budget Health Score?
A score from 0–100 (graded A–F) that measures your budgeting health. It's based on three factors: 40% your under-budget day rate, 30% your spending consistency (low variance is good), and 30% utilization efficiency (the sweet spot is 70–90% of your budget).
Is there a referral program?
Yes. Premium users get a shareable referral code. When a friend redeems it, they get 14 days of free Premium. Each code can be used up to 5 times.
Is Spendaily available on Android?
Currently iOS only (iPhone, portrait mode). Android is on the roadmap.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Spendaily → Cancel. You keep Premium access until the current period ends.
How do I delete my account?
Open Spendaily → Settings → scroll to bottom → Delete Account. You'll receive a 6-digit verification code by email to confirm the deletion. All your data will be permanently removed. You can also email contact@spendaily.com for account deletion.
